1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting; third-party cookies are set by another service used on the page. Session cookies last only until you close your browser; persistent cookies stay for a set period. We use cookies and similar technologies as described below.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies for the essential technical functioning of the website, to store your consent choices, and, with your consent, for aggregated analytics, advertising measurement on LinkedIn, the scheduling tool, and embedded video.
3. Managing your consent
We use Cookiebot (Cybot A/S, Copenhagen, Denmark) to manage consent. When you first visit, you can accept all categories, reject everything that is not strictly necessary, or set your choices category by category. Your choice is stored in the "CookieConsent" cookie for 12 months, and you can change or withdraw it at any time using the cookie link in the footer or by emailing privacy@gildoni.com.
Do Not Track. Where your browser sends a Do Not Track signal (supported by Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Opera), we will respect that preference.
4. Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the site working and do not require consent.
See Cookiebot's privacy policy at cookiebot.com.
5. Analytics and performance cookies (consent required)
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Dublin, Ireland), to understand in aggregate how the site is used. Data is processed in the United States under standard contractual clauses.
You can opt out site-wide with Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We also use Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (Dublin, Ireland), for aggregated heatmaps and session replay that show how pages are used. Form fields are masked. Data may be processed in the United States under standard contractual clauses.
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are both delivered through Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited), our tag-management container, which itself sets no analytics cookies. We also use Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel, Inc.), which is cookieless: it counts visits in aggregate without storing cookies or identifying you, so it sets nothing on your device.
6. Marketing and advertising cookies (consent required)
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (Dublin, Ireland), to measure the effectiveness of our LinkedIn activity and to build aggregated audiences. Data is processed in the United States under standard contractual clauses and may be shared with Microsoft Corporation.
LinkedIn members can opt out in their advertising settings; non-members can use the Digital Advertising Alliance tool.
7. Functional cookies (consent required)
We embed Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc., San Francisco, US) so you can book a strategic briefing. The scheduler sets first-party operational cookies for the session, your preferences, and security while you complete a booking. Data may be processed in the United States under standard contractual clauses. The exact cookie names are captured in our live cookie declaration once the scheduler loads.
WhatsApp contact link. Our WhatsApp link is a simple redirect (wa.me) and sets no cookie on gildoni.com unless you click it, at which point WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies.
8. Embedded video cookies (consent required)
Where we embed YouTube video (Google Ireland Limited, Dublin), we use the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain to reduce tracking. Data is processed in the United States under standard contractual clauses.
You can manage ad personalisation in your Google account settings.
9. Your rights in relation to cookie data
You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out beforehand, using the footer link or by emailing privacy@gildoni.com. Your full data-protection rights, including access and erasure, are set out in Section 15 of our Privacy Policy. You can also control cookies through your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera all provide controls), though disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
10. Updates to this cookie policy
We review this policy regularly and update the "last updated" date when it changes. For significant changes we will prompt you again through the consent banner.
